OUR CHILD FIRST STATEMENT
At Lennox Head Community Preschool, we are deeply committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment where every child is valued and protected. It is our duty to ensure that the safety, rights, and best interests of all children are the highest priority in every aspect of our service.
We believe that children thrive when they feel unconditionally loved, secure, and supported. We are committed to building genuine, trusting relationships with each child, where they feel safe to express themselves, explore their identities, and develop a strong sense of belonging. We actively support children to find and use their voice, empowering them to share their thoughts, feelings, and ideas with confidence.
All decisions and actions within Lennox Head Community Preschool prioritise children’s safety, wellbeing, and rights above all other considerations. (Paramount Consideration) This responsibility is shared by the Approved Provider, persons with management or control, persons in day-to-day charge, Nominated Supervisors, Directors, Responsible Persons, Educators, Teachers, all employees, volunteers, and students.
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility. Every individual involved in early childhood education and care has a duty to protect children from harm, respond to concerns, and uphold a culture of vigilance, respect, and care.
We are committed to embedding child-safe practices across all areas of our service. The policies established by the Approved Provider of Lennox Head Community Preschool ensure that child safety is paramount and reflected in everyday practice and aligned with the National Quality Framework, as well as all relevant legislative requirements under the National Law and Regulations.
Through our actions, relationships, and policies, we aim to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, heard, and empowered to grow and thrive.
