Miss Tara

Hi, I’m Miss Tara
(Nominated Supervisor) My name is Tamara, but everyone calls me Tara
I lived in Lennox Head since 2001 after moving here with my Mum (Jannette) and my sister (Sophie). My Partner Michael and I welcomed our daughter (Winnie) into the world in 2021and she is the absolute apple of my eye. I have an older stepson Matthew who adores his sister also (and is now in high school) and we have a pup who is now not so little named Indy. I love spending time with family, especially my nieces Frankie and Poppy.
After relieving at the preschool for a short time in 2007, I was fortunate enough to be included in the team. I commenced studying at this time and completed my Certificate III and Diploma in Children’s Services before moving onto my bachelor’s degree.
I completed my Bachelor of Education (Birth – Five years) through Charles Sturt University in 2013.
I have completed my Masters of Education, in 2020, through Southern Cross University Online.
I am extremely passionate about working with your children. I endeavour to provide enriched quality care and education through my interactions with children, families and colleagues.
I am the Nominated Supervisor of the Preschool and through this role I support our team to increase the quality of programming, planning and interactions each day. As I am making my way back from Maternity Leave, Sophie (Educational Leader) and I work closely together to lead our team.
I have many hobbies which change frequently. Including open water swimming, diving, running, weightlifting and basically anything that gets be outdoors or active! Lately my outdoor activities are a lot more focused around Winnie and her needs ?
I love reading and learning and am constantly seeking ways to stimulate my brain as well as being physically fit and active.
I play hockey and spend my weekends umpiring hockey on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. I am also an accredited International Umpire. I travel around Australia umpiring at National tournaments and have recently been upgraded to the International Advancement Panl to be appointed by the FIH.
I’d love to learn about you and your family which helps me to collaborate with you and provide the best possible care and education for your children
